  • UK Overseas Territories in the Caribbean: Joint Regional Project Manager for start-up phase: DFID funded project - Taking action against HIV and AIDS in UK overseas territories (OT) in the Caribbean and South Atlantic.  Using a rights based approach to build technical capacity of all healthcare workers, social services providers, educators and youth and key sectors in these small island developing states,  to improve the quality of health care delivery and effectiveness of subsequent outcomes, to support education ministries in developing school-based life skills curricula, to tackle HIV and AIDS, to mobilise key private sector organisations to mitigate impact and to empower vulnerable groups in prevention strategies and accessing needed services.

     

  • World Bank Enhanced programme assessment of the Belize National Health Insurance (NHI) pay for Performance (P4P) scheme. In partnership with lead advisor, Roger England, Delivered research findings and policy and scale-up recommendations to social security board and Ministry of health on Phase II expansion of P4P across Belize including sharing of key concerns and an action plan to address urgent information and data collection gaps.

     

  • Queen Elizabeth Hospital Costing study and development of a revised fee schedule, Barbados, 2004 (PAHO).

  • Development of baseline unit costs of surgical interventions at the QEH, Barbados (PAHO).

  • Pre-programme development Technical Assistance to the Government of Anguilla – Economic consultancy on the costing of Hospital services, Anguilla, 2003 (PAHO/DFID).

  • The economic costs of managing diabetes mellitus in Barbados. (Technical supervision of research paper)
